Ideal for dog lovers, walkers or just a quiet getaway, beyond the terrace is a large garden laid to lawn with areas of mature shrubs and fruit trees together with 11 acres of natural woodland to enjoy.

An area of outstanding natural beauty, the Cardigan Bay Heritage Coast has some of Wales' most attractive and unspoiled coastline.


Upon your arrival at The Old Granary, relax with a welcome cuppa. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk are provided for you with our compliments. Well furnished and equipped, the lounge/diner/kitchen opens onto a front terrace ideal for tranquil wining and dining or just relaxing.

Relax on the patio overlooking a large garden laid to lawn with areas of mature shrubs and fruit trees together with views to the Preselli Hills.

We have farmland all around but usually the fields are occupied by dairy cows and are not worried by dogs.

Our natural valley of about 11 acres abuts the garden and comprises woodland, wetland and stream for you to enjoy. We have oak, ash, sycamore, beech, hazel, alder, holly, hawthorn and blackthorn trees together with a profusion of wild animals including badgers, foxes, squirrels, and rabbits together with many species of birds including buzzards and owls.

A 200 yd/m mowed track way leads down to the stream with a further 300+ yd/m natural pathways for the more adventurous! Wildlife abounds and with wild flowers in the spring and summer, berries in the autumn and winter this is a truly peaceful

'away from it all' little corner of Cardiganshire.

Historic Cardigan lies at the mouth of the River Teifi . Visit the newly restored Castle, home of the first Eisteddfordd.

Beaches and Coastal Path



Explore the beautiful beaches and coves along the West Wales coast. From tiny hidden coves to fabulous sandy beaches - all but a couple allow dogs. Walk the Ceredigion Coastal Path - all well signposted and easily accessible.



Historical and other Sites



Visit the many historical sites around Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire: Pentre Ifan Burial Chamber, Castell Henllys Iron Age Hill Fort and Strata Florida, along with Castles at Cardigan, Cilgerran, Carew, Pembroke and many more

When you reach Cardigan and turn into New Mill Road, please carry along the road to the very end - it's approximately 1/2 mile. Near the end there is a right hand curve which leads down to a concrete bridge over the river. (The Sat Nav stops here !) Carry on over the bridge and go straight up the hill. Do NOT turn left half way up where there is a sign for a new house which is called Lle Capel Bach - just carry straight on and you will see The Old Granary at Capel ahead of you as soon as you get to the top.
